One of the most iconic ballets of all time closes out Carolina Ballet's 21st season. Based upon the beautiful and haunting illustrations by Lisbeth Zwenger, Artistic Director Robert Weiss has created a production that glitters as the tragic story of Odette is played out to the twinkling and beloved Tchaikovsky score, which will be played live by The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle.

Dashing Prince Siegfried would rather be out hunting with his friends than choosing a bride, but it seems he can do both when he stumbles across a lake filled with swans. Before he can aim at the prey, he is astonished as one of them transforms before his eyes into a beautiful woman. Discovering she and her companions are under an evil curse, Prince Siegfried sets out to break the spell and rescue his love, pitting him against a powerful sorcerer in a wonderful story of magic and romance. As one of the most famous ballets of all time, this is a must-see for all ages.
